Gerry and Astrid growing their own food in less than 200 sq meters of sand on the coast of Western Australia
About us
Gerry and Astrid love to travel. Here they are in Gerry's homeland, Ireland.
Gerry and Astrid share a garden
together in Manduarh, Western Australia. The couple are keen gardeners, they've been working towards greater food self reliance over the last couple of years. In late 2014
when living back together again after Astrid spent a year volunteering in Cambodia, they started to get really serious and significantly increased their production. The long term goal is to feed themselves from their garden, completely. If they can’t grow it, have it gifted to them
or trade for it they’ll use cash earned from
their garden to purchase what they need. This blog tells their story.
